Milk producer ventilates roof void to increase safety

When management at Arla Foods’ Palmers Green site identified a risk in an enclosed roof area, they commenced an initiative to improve the facility with increased ventilation. The new ventilation system was to integrate with the existing fire alarm system and motor control centres (MCCs).

Gibbons HVAC Services was approached by its service partner, Frontier Engineering, to install eight small direct-driven roof-ventilation fans to aerate the space. Each fan required modification to the roof structure and a suitable power supply. Plus, in order to comply with the building’s fire strategy, the fans needed to be isolated in the event of a fire. Gibbons also provided a suitable control/starter panel for the new fans.

“Gibbons has provided us with an efficient panel design, manufacture, installation and set-up package.”
