Gibbons' Zach wins apprenticeship award

We’re proud to announce that Zach Surguy has received a well-earned apprenticeship award as he prepares to begin a full-time career here at Gibbons.

Engineer Zach’s hard work was rewarded as he was named as Outstanding Apprentice in the Electrical Installations category at Colchester Institute’s 10th annual Further Education and Apprenticeship Awards.

Zach was described as “a delight to teach” and “a very diligent and able learner” while receiving praise for having “a positive influence on his peers” from his tutor.

Zach, 23, joined the Gibbons engineering team as an apprentice in June 2013 and during his two years with us has established himself as a highly-skilled and popular colleague. His course at Colchester Institute saw Zach complete all his knowledge units and pass the AM2 practical assessment. He is about to complete the full apprenticeship framework by finishing his NVQ.

Following the completion of his course, we’re delighted to offer Zach a permanent position here in accordance with our long-standing apprenticeship policy.

Congratulations, Zach, and here’s to a long, happy and successful career at Gibbons.
