How worried are you about your business’s energy spending?

Almost half of senior decision makers within small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are concerned about the amount of money they spend on energy, according to research from the Carbon Trust.

The study formed part of a recent announcement from the Trust regarding a £7 million fund to help SMEs in England, Scotland and Wales fund energy-efficiency improvements.

The research also found that more than a third (37 per cent) of businesses are keen to take action to improve the energy efficiency of their operations, although almost a quarter (23 per cent) cited lack of money and affordable options as barriers to improving energy efficiency.

The £7 million Carbon Trust fund will help SMEs to overcome these obstacles, so if you’re concerned about your company’s energy costs – particularly at a time when prices are unpredictable – then it’s time to claim your share.

The fund can be put towards investing in the installation and upgrade of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment. By improving the efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems, users can reduce running and maintenance costs, while maximising equipment life.

Gibbons HVAC Services specialises in fitting and upgrading air handling systems for clients across the industrial and commercial sectors, working in buildings as varied as offices, educational facilities, restaurants and hotels. We help our clients to achieve substantial energy savings while offering a comprehensive service and maintenance package.
