Put on your party hat and crack open the Champagne – it’s our Birthday! And it’s not just any Birthday, it’s our 50th!
Let’s ‘rewind’ to our beginnings…
Half a century ago, friends Wilfred Gibbons and Roy Templeman, with the help of Wilfred’s son Martin, formed T.G. Consultancy – a company specialising in electric motor rewinds and repairs.
As business prospered, customers began to request products and services outside of the company’s remit, so, responding to demand, Wilfred and Roy began expanding – sourcing new machinery and adding pumps, panel building and transmission systems to the business’s offering over the next two decades.
What’s changed?
Fast-forward 50 years and we’re now known as Gibbons Engineering Group and comprise of no less than 11 thriving divisions. With a diverse range of products and services across multiple industries, and delivering complex projects across the globe, a lot has changed since our inception. That being said, our rewinds department is still going strong, and the company is still run by Martin as Chairman and his son Matthew as Managing Director, so we haven’t forgotten our roots!
You’re invited…
50 years is quite a milestone, and we’re really looking forward to sharing our achievement with the local community over the next 12 months. We’ll therefore be marking the occasion with a networking event for local businesses, and an exciting competition for local primary and secondary schools.
