Gibbons Engineering Group have been selected as finalists for the Business Excellence Awards Essex 2019.

The company are delighted to be shortlisted for the Sales & Marketing Award, sponsored by Global, and are looking forward to attending the black-tie event held at Five Lakes Resort next month.

It’s a big year for Gibbons, who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. Having started as a small family business rewinding electric motors in 1969, they have grown to now comprise eleven thriving divisions, which allows them to be a single provider for all of their customers’ electrical and mechanical needs and deliver projects of all sizes both locally and abroad.

Gibbons remains a family business, with Martin Gibbons serving as chairman and his son Matthew as Managing Director. Matthew says: “We’re really excited to have been shortlisted for the Sales & Marketing award – it is a great way to celebrate the hard work of the whole team at Gibbons and what we have achieved so far this year”.

2019 has seen the company exhibit at one of the largest Agricultural shows in the world and bring new products to the European market, launch a new website and drastically increase their business with new and existing customers.

The company engage in a huge range of marketing activities, from more traditional marketing activities such as printed adverts and direct mail to more modern techniques such as Google Ads and social media marketing. The company utilise a wide range of marketing channels to connect with their diverse client base, which ranges from individual farmers to huge facilities management companies.
