Gibbons Agricultural Fans has eased the strain on farmers with the launch of Plug&Dry, a new range of add-ons for its steel and aluminium centrifugal crop store fans.

Plug&Dry enables users to quickly and easily connect a number of optional accessories to their Gibbons grain-drying fan to help them save time, energy and money during 2018 and beyond.

These include:

  • A direct on-line (DOL) starter can be attached to the fan for direct push-button control. The compact, enclosed units are easy to use and offer high performance at low cost.
  • High-precision thermostats that can be connected for accurate temperature control and monitoring – essential when erratic weather offers no guarantees.
  • For added convenience, Gibbons also provides heavy-duty 10m or 20m extension leads with 16-amp plug and socket. The durable IP44-rated leads offer protection against dust and are resistant to water splashes.
  • Support stands that transform the fan into a floor-level crop-drying unit.

Straightforward connections mean each of these ‘plug-and-play’ solutions can be quickly installed by the user, removing the cost of having an electrician attend site. Farmers still benefit from Gibbons’ after-sales support, of course, with engineers available to answer technical queries.

Gibbons Agricultural Fans’ group services manager, Josie Knight, said the company’s agricultural grain store fans had been used for many years, with countless farmers benefitting from its efficient, reliable and robust crop-cooling solutions.

“However, we’re always looking for ways to improve our products, and after chatting to farmers from across Britain and beyond, we decided there was even more we could do to help make their lives easier and save them money,” she added. “We’ve already started supplying Plug&Dry accessories to our official agricultural fan reseller network.”
