Award winning engineering is certainly something to be very proud of, and we’re currently celebrating an awards double after we collected two prizes at the Maldon District Council Chairman’s Business Awards.
The ceremony, held in the bunting-clad Mess Room at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome on Friday 23rd February, was preceded by a delicious afternoon tea.
We won two awards – for Best Established Business 2017 and the prestigious Business of the Year 2017.
We were praised for employing local people, our work in the community, good business practices and longevity (having survived several major recessions since we were formed 50 years ago).
Director Matthew Gibbons – the third generation of his family to manage the business – was proud to collect the awards on behalf of the company: “We’re delighted to be recognised by Maldon District Council today – it’s a reflection of the hard work of the entire team.
“We especially pride ourselves on employing dozens of people from the surrounding area and making a real contribution to the local community with our apprenticeship programme.”
